    WOW where has all the summer gone!?! I gotta say it was a hell of a ride! You guys REALLY made the Summer ROCK for us!!! THANK YOU ALL for attending all of our parties!! In the picture I'm on stage with my friend Joe Boyd at Blues House 2011. We both were wide eyed amazed and THANKFUL for  the number of you there and the music. At Brew and Blues Festival in Front Royal for the 2nd annual. This is going to be a party that should go on for many years to come! Friday Cheers was wet and a little cool...but you guys were there none the less! Not to mention all The Fairs, Foghat, REO Speedwagon and everything that goes with a good county fair. Apple Blossom before the fairs and Fish Fry This Year was OFF THE HOOK thanks to you guys! Even The Chili Challenge was timed just right with the weather that day chili hit the spot! YOU GUYS CAME TO ALL THOSE EVENTS AND FESTIVALS THE FOX AND I THANK YOU!  We also sent people to Vegas this summer for the iHeartRadio Music Festival! Onslaught Fights were a big destination as well! If you still want to party (and who doesn't) on October 22 a huge event was held at the Winchester Moose Family Center on Cork St. Our good friends T51, The Merge, 8 lives Spent and Fifteen Minutes  rocked the place The Evans Home for children with a chance to win a guitar signed by all the bands. Big Rockers with even Bigger Hearts, this was freaking amazing. We are going to be collecting coats for kids this year as well as Toys for Tots and we need your help to make the whole thing work.  Of course no one should miss the BIGGEST HALLOWEEN PARTY of the season! It's at #1 Uncle Dales Place on Piccadilly St. Piccadilly Public House THE ANNUAL MONSTER BASH is October 29! We are also  looking forward to The Calendar release party at Sweets! Not to mention the annual big game bash at Buffalo Wild Wings in February With a lot more to come I hope to see you at one or two of these events but we do party pretty hard it can be tough keeping up with us. (is that a challenge? MMMM could be.)

    Of course like The Fox on Facebook and live it vicariously and share with all your friends too, PLEASE.

HOW THE HELL DID I GET INTO THIS MESS
  • All I wanted to do was not get busted for trespassing....... I've heard other people tell my story of how I got into radio so I better tell you before you hear it from somebody else. In Aug of 1974 I was on my way to my other job at one of the local Caverns. At one of the stop lights I looked to my left and could see the top of an antenna above the trees. I thought "gee I wonder what a radio station looks like!?" So I took the left and drove into the parking lot and to my  surprise the back door was wide open. I thought "how inviting is that!" I stepped in to find the engineering table with all kinds of neat tools, switchs and the biggest tube I have ever seen, I thought "how cool is this!" and began playing with all the neat stuff. I was there and alone I know for a good 10 mins. before some hundred year old man peered around the corner and said "can I hep ya?".  I stuttered and stammered for a second and said "UH...I'm uh here to uh apply for a job" yeah that's it apply for a job. "As what!?" was his reply....well what else do you do at a radio station besides be a dj? "As a dj!" was my reply. That did not impress him, he wanted a sales person and told me to come back at 5 and "talk to the guy who hires DJs" in a tone that revealed his disgust in me. I walked out wiping my brow thinking "man that was a close one" unfortunately I ended up going back DAMN IT! And that's how I ruined my life.......

    There is more to the story but thats the main part, people
    steal that story and my ghost stories too, those are maybe
    for some other time. I just wish people would get their own
    stories and not take mine.
