Two states of our union approved a measure to allow and tax small marijuana purchases for recreational use. What is a small amount and how is this taxed? Do they get the "tax" after your busted or do you give it to the dealer when you make the purchase? How are they going to regulate this? Yes it is a source of income the country could use but until the Federal goverment decides that it is ok to use something, is it going to work? I do know that the tax on medical marijuana generates 100 Million dollars a year in the state of California. On a national scale well you do the math. Not to mention the savings in the law enforcement and incarceration arena. It is going to be interesting to see how this unfolds for Colorado and Washington State. Is this step in the right direction?
