When I first got into radio this album was still about a year away. When it came out the music world was set on it's ear! Packed with great music from one end to the other we hadn't heard anything like it. The band was never able to match the success of that first one. Happens alot doesn't it? Why is that? My observation  is that these bands put in their time on their local scene amassing a great deal of music over 10 or 12 years. They get a deal and put all that great stuff on that first album so now all of a sudden they have to come up with another album like, yesterday. WHAT!! Without the years to get music together its tougher. In the case of Boston not only did it take forever it was basically the same album. Guns and Roses another example 3 albums worth of stuff and the next, remakes. So aspiring bands make sure you have at least 3 albums of stuff before signing that contract unless you are super creative and you should always strive to find and write good music. Just a thought....Good Luck!
