Black Sabbath have announced their first Australian tour in nearly 40 years.
The partial reunion of the metal legends – still working without drummer Bill Ward, who continues to sit things out over a contract dispute – will play Australia in April 2013.
The series of shows kicks off April 25 in Brisbane and wraps up May 4 in Perth.

In addition to the tour news, Sabbath have also confirmed that their forthcoming album – their first since 1978 – will be released in April. Guitarist Tony Iommi  said “We've written 15 songs and we've played them all. But now, at the moment, we're recording them. We recorded them at my house first, in England, just as demos, but now we're doing them for real. So we're about six tracks in now, at the moment."
