Paul McCartney was joined by the surviving members of Nirvana at New York City's Madison Square Garden Wednesday night during the 12-12-12 concert.
The former Beatle and Nirvana's drummer Dave Grohl, guitarist Pat Smear and bassist Krist Novoselic performed a new song called "Cut Me Some Slack."
The song is set to be the first song from Dave Grohl's "Sound City" documentary according to a tweet on the Foo Fighters Twitter account.
Although he is playing drums on the upcoming new release from Queens of the Stone Age, Grohl has revealed that he won't go on tour with the band.
He has however said that another tour with his side project Them Crooked Vultures is a possibility. Them Crooked Vultures consist of Grohl, Queens of the Stone Age singer and guitarist Josh Homme, and Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones.
Infinite Staircase announced that they are teaming up with Black Label Society's Zakk Wylde, Sevendust's Morgan Rose, Candlebox's Kevin Martin on a new song that will benefit Hurricane Sandy relief.
The band, who are currently recording with Morgan Rose producing, posted the announcement on their Facebook about the song release which they plan to release on January 8th at iTunes.
The recording studio Architekt Music and recording engineer Mike Ferretti are offering their services for the charity project.
