Super Bowl Sunday is one of the biggest eating days of the year … and the darkest day of the year if you’re a chicken. We know Americans like to chow down on chicken wings, but just how many deep-fried appendages will we gorge down our gullets?
The National Chicken Council has released its 2013 Wing Report (that’s a real thing) and estimates that more than 1.23 billion wings will be eaten Super Bowl weekend. And get this – if all of those wings were lined up end to end, they would stretch from San Francisco to Baltimore 27 times.
