It's also the night after Alabama defeats Notre Dame is the BCS Championship Game. This just in........Bama just scored another touchdown! It was ugly for fans of The "Fighting Irish".

TONIGHT is the night that late night TV gets a 3rd player in the 2 show ballgame as ABC forgoes "Nightline" to move Jimmy Kimmel into the 11:35pm slot opposite Leno and Letterman. For folks that feel like Leno & Letterman appeal to an older crowd, it's interesting to see if "Kimmel" can lure a bigger audience than when he came on an hour later. Kimmel's show is very good and younger viewers could increase overall viewing in that time slot.

Kimmel first caught my attention on "Win Ben Stein's Money" on VH-1 when he was Ben's co-host and comic relief. Then he landed "The Man Show" which was funny to men, not so much for the ladies. Not surprised to see him now taking on these talk show giants! Yes, he's that good!
